Presenter Biography

Tristan Grahmm BSc (hons), CBiol, MSB

Tristan has over 35 years of experience at the City of London’s Heathrow Animal Reception Centre and Border Control Post, enforcing the Animal Health & Welfare legislation, which encompasses the IATA Live Animals Regulations. Detailed knowledge with regards to both domestic and exotic animal identification, husbandry, and transportation by air. Chartered Biologist and a Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Wildlife Inspector. Expert advisor to the I.A.T.A. and the Live Animals & Perishables Board as part of the Animal Care Team for over 19 years. Course author & trainer for the I.A.T.A. Live Animals Transportation and Live Animals Cargo Logistics Management classroom, virtual and distance learning courses. Instrumental in achieving IATA CEIV certification for the City of London as part of the CEIV Live Animal Logistics pilot programme team, which included development of the audit checklist and guidance notes. Independent validator for the IATA CEIV Live Animal Logistics programme.
