Lufthansa Carog will partially lift the embargo for live animals from May.
Effective May 4th, 2020, Lufthansa Cargo accepts again animal shipments to and from Frankfurt.
Transit shipments via FRA are not possible at the beginning (and we cannot grant any exceptions – I’m sorry for that).
In addition, we do not accept animals that require an animal attendant, e.g. horses or larger zoo animals.
Due to local restrictions, certain Lufthansa Cargo stations may still not be able to handle animal shipments.
As we still have to adapt our IT systems accordingly, bookings will be possible from next week on.
Besides our freighter services, we currently operate long-haul flights on passenger aircraft between Frankfurt (FRA) and Newark (EWR), Chicago (ORD), Sao Paulo (GRU), Bangkok (BKK) and Tokyo (HND) – all destinations are served 3 times per week.
Our European network offers from FRA 1 to 2 daily flights to European airports like TXL, HAM, MUC, LHR, CDG, AMS, BCN, MAD, LIS, VIE, ZRH, FCO… just to name a few. So, only a limited offer.
Please contact your local Lufthansa Cargo sales office for further information.
Take care and stay healthy!
