This is my first letter as your new president after I took over from the long reign of Queen Jennifer. Let me first thank her for the years she served as our president and all the work and hours she put in filling in for various other presidents who could not serve due to circumstances.
I took over as well in not the normal way as Raymond Tilburg who was are president elect could not take up the function. I am glad to say that Raymond will stay on as a member and his knowledge and expertise are most welcome in our group.
Now that the Lisbon conference is over, your board is already working on planning the next conference in Hong Kong and we are working at an even faster pace then the last years to get the conference organized. Because we decided to have it together with the Longines Masters, we had to move the date up to February. At the moment we are already looking for speakers and of course we would also like to hear from all of you if there are certain topics that you find interesting or if you have someone in mind that could be a good speaker.
Because the conference is together with a jumping show, I truly hope that there will be a big attendance from the horse side. I would here also like to mention our new president-elect Filip Vande Capelle. I know he will do a wonderful job and will be of great assistance making the Hong Kong Conference a success.
Lastly a word to our sponsors for the Lisbon conference. Thank you for your continued support in making the conference a highlight for many of us during the year. Your contributions really help us to bring in speakers that are of interest to many.
