Mobile Pet Care Truck Making Stops Throughout City of Camden, NJ

CAMDEN, N.J., (CBS) — A vets on wheels program is rolling through the city of Camden in an effort to help owners get their furry friends the help they need.

Stacie Dabolt with the Animal Welfare Association says their mobile unit gives low cost and sometimes free vaccines, as well as spay and neutering procedures.

“It’s a good way to get to the residents that can’t get to us to offer valuable low cost services and get their pets healthy and keep them out of the shelters.”

People coming out to have their pets taken care of say this truck is a godsend.

“I love it and I will be coming every month.”

“It’s great, I like it because some of us can’t have transportation to get to where we have to go to get them vaccinated and it cost so much and they’re doing it free. I think it’s good.”

In 2014 over 20,000 pets were served through AWA programming and they are hoping their truck will help them do more than that this year.
