Meetings
General sessions were held on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Topics touched on who
is responsible for animal welfare during transport.
Since responsibility extends not only to those who actually
do the transporting but Governments as well, we focused on
what is being done by Governments to protect animals
during transportation.
There was information about
the latest in transport research and new products for animal
transport as well as trade barriers & risk management.
Further discussion focused on the challenges of importing
into the ANZAC region and the conference finished off with a
panel discussion. While this gives just a smattering of what
