Procedures for Acceptance as an AATA Animal Attendant

• Review the eligibility criteria, the fees involved and the validity period.
  
  
• Download an application package
  
  
• Complete the application — Obtain the required letters of recommendation, certification forms from your local veterinarian, medical doctor, and the background security check. Forward original package with copy of passport plus two photos and payment in the amount of US$325 to the address shown on the application form.
  
  
• Upon receipt of the forms by ATA, the application will be reviewed by the appropriate Equine or Zoological Committee Chairpersons. Upon approval of the application, you will be contacted to make arrangements for ATA/NPTC assessment by a qualified Assessor. The cost for the assessment is included in the US$325 registration fee. ATA will work with the Assessors and arrange necessary travel for attendant assessment, and any costs to the application will be communicated ahead of time and will be kept to a minimum.
  
  
• An ID card will be mailed upon successful completion of the assessment and you will be added to the Roster of ATA/NPTC Assessed Animal Attendants at our website.
